Editorial Policy

1. Mandatory Financial Disclosures All editors, designers, and supply chain analysts must disclose:

  • Factory Ties: Any personal or family ownership in material suppliers (tanneries, fabric mills, or hardware factories).
  • Logistics Interest: Stakes in freight forwarding or customs brokerage firms that could bias our “Shipping & Logistics” advice.
  • Sample Resale: Editors are strictly prohibited from reselling factory samples; all samples are archived for “wear-and-tear” testing or donated to non-profits.

2. Review Samples & Prototype Access To provide authentic manufacturing insights, we often produce and test prototypes.

  • “Golden Sample” Transparency: We explicitly distinguish between a “Golden Sample” (factory-perfected) and a “Mass Production Run” unit in our reviews.
  • Factory Audits: When our team conducts on-site inspections in Hubei or other manufacturing hubs, we do not accept “per diem” payments or luxury accommodations from the factory owners.

3. Dogmatic Independence from Industry Giants

  • Resistance to “Slotting Fees”: No material supplier or logistics provider can pay for a higher ranking in our “Top 10” lists. Rankings are strictly performance-based, calculated by Defect Rate (<0.5%), On-Time Delivery (Target: 98%), and Sustainability Certifications.
  • IP Protection: We hold a zero-tolerance policy for “Counterfeit Support.” We refuse to publish content or provide “Design Templates” that infringe on the protected intellectual property of global luxury bag houses or patented outdoor gear manufacturers.
  • Data Integrity: We handle pressure from advertisers to “soften” reports on rising raw material costs (e.g., leather price hikes) by citing transparent market indices like the Bloomberg Commodity Index.
