Can the grade packs be told apart, so they do not end up lost or swapped in a corridor?
The size band separates them at a glance, and the colourway a school separates the schools. The mark lands per panel as a spec: the grade rides on the pattern itself, so a K–5 pack cannot be handed off as a 9–12 one.
What if a district wants one size for the whole school to keep ordering simple?
Then the packs get worn by the wrong bodies. A blanket size is built to one back, so a smaller child carries a load that sits low and pulls off the spine while a taller one is cramped against the lid. Grading moves body height, strap drop and compartment depth as separate axes; a single build only scales, which fits neither end.
Will the bulk packs match the sample the school signed off?
Only where the sample was cut from the bulk cloth and the mark was proved at size before the run. The sample card above builds it one round at a time; that step is what stops a shade, a stitch count or a strap length drifting between the approved sample and the carton that arrives.
How close to the term does a school order have to be placed?
The sample and the bulk are separate waits, so the sample has to be approved before term, not the packs built before it. An order locked against the delivery date the school names leaves the grading, the strike-off and the mark proof a runway; an order placed in the last week trades that runway for a compressed sample round.
What documentation arrives with the packs, for compliance and for receiving?
A packing list that reconciles the order against the pattern reference, so the dockside count ties back to the signed-off spec rather than to a stock line. The CPSIA, Prop 65 and REACH papers for a US-market run travel with the shipment; the compliance gate is set at the order, before the bulk cut, not after the carton lands.
